• I don't have a desk, so 100% of my designs are drawn on a table at Taco Inn, or setting on my bed using a clipboard, really.



• Every design of mine starts with a 'blue Papermate ballpoint pen'.



• The first version (left), I stopped a little ways into working on it. Decided not to go the approach of only pencils like my concept sketches. Also, I wanted to go with a bigger size - 16" x 20" (right)

My review : AWESOME! A birthday present to myself. Tons of artwork close-ups from the original 232 stickers from series 1-7. A nice detail is that the dust jacket is made from the wax package material, just like the 1970's originals. Check out the images below, of the front and back cover with an image of the classic piece of gum. Plus it comes with 4 unreleased bonus cards! Happy birthday to me...May 30th, nudge, nudge...

Hey everyone! After a month+ break from Threadless and other things to work on my shop, which is set to open April 4th!?! Stop by and say Hi.

I am a huge fan of trading cards from the 60s, 70s & 80s, and this is in a way a tribute to what the artists back then went through to print the wax packaging to wrap the cards in. DON'T EAT THE GUM!!!

Due to a file size restriction on the voting page I am posting a higher image quality version of my sub here. A lower file size can often mean lower image quality, and this is a time where it came to just that.

With all of the little print requirements I felt it best to be on a white shirt as some printing techniques require a fine mesh. Created using 7 mediums, simulated process would be required.

I have many combined ideas behind this idea, but didn't want to limit the meaning with an explanation. I want to leave it entirely up to interpretation. Feel free to leave a comment with yours.

Drawn entirely using a ball point pen, without the use of a predrawn sketch or an eraser. My intent was to create a design with the idea, like history, that cannot be erased.

Entering the history of music in the era of cavemen, and taking a trip through notable periods and regions influential to modern day music. Detouring through a few obscure instruments and fantasy ideas, the time line ends with the limitless possibilities of wireless.

Hypothetically, if there was a new shirt of the month club from a humble, non competing, small town company, shipping in February that involves a ton of great artists, month after month, would you have any interest?

If it happened to involve limited edition exclusive art by Glennz, Sonmi, Travis Pitts, Ray Frenden, Mike Laughead, Jared Stumpenhorst, Lupencia, Spacesick, Notorious Lightning, Mikko Terva...and even the Hellraiser, Clive Barker himself!

Can I have an approximate date when you will start taking orders and stop for the first shirt?

The membership page should be up by January 14th, and enrollment will start almost immediately. There is a slight possibility that the first shirt will ship March 15th instead of February 15th, due to the printing schedule.

I will be sending out a mailer soon, so send me an email if you haven't already, and I will get you the up to date info as things progress.

UPDATE 12/30/07: Using American Apparel and including stickers, membership cards, and other fun stuff, a one year membership looks to be around $200 within the US. I am still working out international prices.

Daniel San, sorry, but after the intial cost of the shirt, then printing 4+ colors, a second location, and shipping expenses, not to mention web hosting and the overhead of storage and employees, it just breaks even for this cost.

Chelly, you can start any time. For example if you start on the 3rd month from the beginning you would received shirt 3 through 14. Unfortunately it is set up so the membership has to start two weeks prior to that months shipping date so I can print the exact number for that month. ...but there is still time to adjust the structure, we'll see. Email me if you haven't already, and I will put you on the list for updated info. Good question.

All designs for the first year will be posted prior to the printing, but will be produced in random order.

Inspired by a night of packing for a long trip, and owning small suitcases. I spent an evening cramming and folding clothes in ways this generation or the next has never seen. The sun rose, delirious, and without discern the zipper finally closed. With a long night behind me and even a longer day ahead, I had visions of the Kremlin, and a catchy little loop began to ring in my head. The plane was leaving in an hour and on the back of my mornings to-do list, using my knee as a table, I drew the first version of 'I HATE PACKING'.
