Hypothetically, if there was a new shirt of the month club from a humble, non competing, small town company, shipping in February that involves a ton of great artists, month after month, would you have any interest?

If it happened to involve limited edition exclusive art by Glennz, Sonmi, Travis Pitts, Ray Frenden, Mike Laughead, Jared Stumpenhorst, Lupencia, Spacesick, Notorious Lightning, Mikko Terva...and even the Hellraiser, Clive Barker himself!

Hypothetically speaking that is...

NOTE: I want to add that I am in no way trying to undermine Threadless. This company and site has become a big part of my life, and I plan to continue to sub my favorite designs, buy countless shirts, and be part of the Threadless community till the end of time. The people that make up the Threadless staff have been more than generous printing me, and by posting this blog, I am just one individual with an idea, interested in organizing a project with fellow designers.

Can I have an approximate date when you will start taking orders and stop for the first shirt?

The membership page should be up by January 14th, and enrollment will start almost immediately. There is a slight possibility that the first shirt will ship March 15th instead of February 15th, due to the printing schedule.

I will be sending out a mailer soon, so send me an email if you haven't already, and I will get you the up to date info as things progress.

UPDATE 12/30/07: Using American Apparel and including stickers, membership cards, and other fun stuff, a one year membership looks to be around $200 within the US. I am still working out international prices.

Daniel San, sorry, but after the intial cost of the shirt, then printing 4+ colors, a second location, and shipping expenses, not to mention web hosting and the overhead of storage and employees, it just breaks even for this cost.

Chelly, you can start any time. For example if you start on the 3rd month from the beginning you would received shirt 3 through 14. Unfortunately it is set up so the membership has to start two weeks prior to that months shipping date so I can print the exact number for that month. ...but there is still time to adjust the structure, we'll see. Email me if you haven't already, and I will put you on the list for updated info. Good question.

All designs for the first year will be posted prior to the printing, but will be produced in random order.
