Without violence, except for that entire seal-slaughtering nonsense.

I love you, Canada. Mario Lemieux came from you. But club sandwiches.

Thanks.

Actually make that "If I had a dollar every time I had 90 cents, I'd be Canada"

Stop denying your falling economy.

True. Also, gas prices here (at least in Toronto) have been dropping like crazy. Now they're just offendingly high instead of mind-numbingly high.

haha, my topic is in reference to a Toothpaste For Dinner comic. Chill out or go take it up with him.

the seal-slaughting thing is a touchy subject where I'm living, which is basically in the area where it happens, and here's the low-down on why they slaughter all those seals (not that I'm agreeing with it but I thought that an explaination is needed):

The seals are the equivilant of foxes to a chicken farmer but on a grander scale and related to the fishing industry. The Maritime area of Canada is poor and many families rely on the short fishing seasons to pay the bills and "get them through the winter". If they didn't go on a yearly seal killing rampage then the seals would literally eat their livelihood in one season. The annual Seal-aughter-O-Rama isn't a matter of reckless, bloodthirsty sport but is more of an economic issue.

Anywho... I'm heading out for a seal burger.

well then they are better off making seal related products to make sure that what they do doesn't go to waste, and turning the seals into something economic as well. Maybe they already do, I wouldn't know.

strange to find this topic hear.....cuz im from eastern canada and work for the department of fishieries, rock deputy explained the situation pretty well, and the do make alot of products out of seal skins, it isn't just a mindless slaughter.

I think there should be a prostester slaughter too...:), sealing is the perfect cash-cow for those guys, work once a year, take a nice boating trip, and the donations from all over pour in. Where does the money go? Right in there pockets, it's not like the seals get any benefit. It's not a worthy charity that actually benefits someone like poverty, or aids in africa, you just make those lazy hypocrite bastards richer. If they actually wanted the sealing to stop, they'd to to ottawa to protest, not the north atlantic.

What are we at now? "If I had a dollar for every time I had... a dollar?!"

Not that it matters.

Hey, I turn thirty-three in less than a week... Someone better wish me a happy birthday!

Alright, gonna get some sushi...
