So tell me what your all time favorite book is. You have to narrow it down to one don't post a list. I would have to say mine is "What is the What" by Dave Eggers, i suggest everyone read it. Its an amazing story about the life of one of the Lost Boys of Sudan

I read. A lot.
It's just like... impossible to pick a favorite.
However, I love Catch-22. The characters are awesome, and of course it's a classic, and it's generally a very cool novel.
And I love Catcher in the Rye, because Holden is weird and I like how he adds "hell" to like every sentence.

Yeshhh. I love Milo Minderbinder. He is so absurd but he is my favorite character.

I love Eric Carle and Dr. Seuss; my childhood would not have been complete without their books.

also, if you're into humorous stuff, check out Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.
Pratchett is a freaking Genius, and Adams wrote The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is probably actually now a cult classic. Plus they're both insanely funny and skilled.

i can't pick a favorite, but i'm reading The Restaurant at the End of the Universe right now. it's part of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series that hanzabean is talking about. definitely a good series thus far.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Alice through the looking Glass by Lewis Carroll will always hold a place in my heart. I doubt anything will ever replace them as my favorite works of fiction.

I also have to say the work of Kurt Vonnegut; Slaughterhouse 5. Since I first picked it up when I was 14 I have read it over and over, and though lit-heads would probably roll their eyes its really helped me through a lot. I am getting line from it tattooed on my skin forever.

Theres so many other books I hold dear. These blogs tend to make me ramble :p

I'd also say Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. By far the best novel I was required to read in high school, and that's only because I was in the advanced program.

I also really love Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.

oh man tiphaine, I loved Middlesex...

also, Kornwolf by Tristan Egolf. Werewolves? Amish people? Satanic music? I'm there. Besides being hilarious, and creepy, it was very very well written and a damn good book.

Anybody know of any other werewolf books?
hanzabean
hanzabean on Jul 19 '07 at 10:13pm
I know of a werewolf/vampire fan fiction, haha.
*cough*

"The Greedy Python" is a good, 5 minute read.
(also one of my favorite childhood books... hehe)

it's on a forum so there are comments interspersed, but it is pretty good... and unfinished, but that adds an element of annoyance and surprise, I guess.

So sheepman420 works at the bookshop that both his mother and sheepman22 own. They both have the same atrocious spelling and grammar, especially for people that seem to be such literature fanatics.

Curiouser and curiouser.
