Is this a british phrase or something? I swear I've never heard it said in normal conversation before. Maybe its not a Westcoast term.

"oh snap" - British?! Hells no!! I've never heard it said in the UK. I have to say though, I am slowly trying to integrate it into my social group... we're clearly not camp enough!
