Howdy folks.

I don't post a lot of blogs round here anymore but I'm in a really poor mood this evening and the Sox losing didn't help.

Please distract with conversation et cetera

My friends and roommates all consider this a "dealbreaker," which surprises me. I have a couple friends with kids, and I guess I've never considered that kids would render them undatable.

Have you ever dated someone with a kid? Or been the one with the kid? How'd it go?

I'm not that big into the Academy Awards, and 2012's look to be kinda lame. But I always have an opinion on who wins, and I want to actually be well-informed for once.

I'm attempting to see every Oscar-nominated film before the Oscars happen.

Anyone else want to try? Or let me know what you're thinking about films this year, and what the Academy should have done differently.

Do you plan meals in advance so the food lasts for more than one meal? I've never done this.

What are meals that work best for leftovers, or that are good to make in advance & freeze or whatever?

Enlighten me with your domestic ways.

I've never really been poor before, but I am now.

What have you done to live better while poor?

I've learned a few:

- blankets and layers and jackets instead of putting the heat on
- using restrooms at work and public places to save on toilet paper and such
- eat leftover food from work (this helps when work is a restaurant)
- avoid turning lights on
