New Year's in DC - is you in or is you ain't?

I think we're trying to do meetup partying festivities stuff on New Year's Eve and hopefully more meeting up and "hanging out" and doing things on other days.

I don't know who's going. Let us know here if you're going. Or someone can start a new blog, or I should start a new blog.

Let us know what your ideal places and dates would be for a meetup, and if you have any suggestions on places for bloggers to stay.

What do you think about a poor people meetup? (meeting up with threadlessers and trying to do things that don't cost a lot.) As hip as it is to be poor, it's ok to come if you have money and just want to be thrifty or you can even join in and spend money and buy us all ice cream!

Things that are cheap:
megabus.com fares booked in advance (sometimes $1 if you're lucky/early, often $6-$12)
hostels // loads of people in a hotel room // crashing at a blogger's place
a picnic where everyone brings food
some museums, historical sites, concerts
outdoor stuff
???

(we've mostly been talking East Coast here so far, but those in other places are welcome to talk about additional/alternate locations)

Some have suggested Thanksgiving weekend, the weekend before Thanksgiving, early December, late December, early January.
