Stray Bullets, Young Liars
This is about comic books. I'm not really into Stray Bullets or anything (I mostly know it because I'm a fan of a band of the same name) but I just came across this in comic news...

"Anyone who tries out Young Liars and sends it to me with a SASE will have the comic returned signed (personalized or not) along with a headshot sketch of any character you choose. Could be a Young Liars character, Stray Bullets character, Your favorite Valiant character, etc.

If anyone's willing to risk sending me a Valiant comic I can sign those, too, but other than promising not to rip, fold, or crumple your comic personally and packing it back in your mailer, I can't take any other responsibility for what the good folks at the PO might do to it. So be careful.

Spread the word on this. I'll do this for anyone who tries out YL."

he really is a magnificent story

normal guy, not a professional artist... shows up to Jim shooter with portfolio of his stuff - right when Jim was getting started with valiant planning - gets the gig to run with harbinger - also does most if not all of the ad work and promotional stuff - rises to tremendous hights along with valiant - valiant goes into toilet (R.I.P. FUCK BOB FUCKFACE LAYTON) goes and starts another project with Jim shooter (defiant) again he is flagship artist on warriors of plasm - too bad the industry was spiraling the drain and defiant lasted just over a year -

instead of going mainstream he decides to put it on the line and do his own thing - el capitan - and he has consistently put out groundbreaking stuff , stray bullets, murder me dead etc.

again - if you no read Lapham, you should....

That really is quite a tale... I'll probably check some stuff out. I was kind of amazed at the offer of sending a sketch to anyone who buys his new stuff and wants one.
