Sooooooooo... Even though you all don't know me I have a favor to ask. For my comparative literature class I have to write two blogs (100 words or less each), the first of which can be about anything I want. Simple enough, right? People do it all the time.

Ok. I post my super-short blog about seeing Elie Wiesel (author of the book Night, Nobel Peace Prize winner, renowned humanitarian, Holocaust survivor) yesterday. Everything is fine until I remember that my professor is expecting to see comments from other people on the printouts of our blogs that we're turning in tomorrow. Not an issue if I weren't so antisocial on here, but seeing as I don't know anyone getting people to comment is a little harder. So I am begging- please, please, please bloggers, comment on my other blog! I would really appreciate it. I promise that I am a nice person!
I wish it had lasted longer. Everyone seems to be hackingly sick here, but between the time when he sat down after the initial applause quieted and the moment he started to speak, the entire auditorium was silent. Then he spoke- of the Holocaust, yes, but also of the contemporary dangers of indifference and fanaticism, of the importance of asking questions, of the choice he made after the war, not to forget, but to remember, believing, “Because I suffered I don’t want others to suffer.” His advice? “Whatever you do…think higher and feel deeper.” What should we do?
