I went and saw Ra Ra Riot twice yesterday, and jeez oh man, both times were great. It's pretty clear that they love what they do, so their dynamic on stage is awesome. They jump around, mess with each other, and the cellist totally wrecked shop on her bow.
I also ended up talking to the drummer after both shows, and he's such a nice guy! He gave me a hug!
Last night also marks the first time a frontman of band has ever sung directly to me. Obligatory swoon!
One more thing, they love Threadless. :)

In conclusion, please go see this band if you can. They do not disappoint.

I Don't Know What To Call This, But It's Pretty Good Mix

Ladies and gentlemen of Texas and/or Threadless,

You may or may not be aware that Austin is the live music capital of the world, and I thought I'd give a heads up to those who might be interested about Fun Fun Fun Fest.
This year will be only the third year it has been around, so it doesn't have the same magnitude of Austin City Limits, BUT the bands are still good, and there won't be a million people there.

The lineup hasn't been released fully yet, but there have been leaks, and so far the lineup is:

Dan Deacon
Deerhoof
DOA
DJ Z-Trip
Bishop Allen
and Minus the Bear

It's a two day festival (Nov. 8th & 9th), and tickets run around $50 from what I gather, so not too bad, right?
I'm about 90% sure I'm going to get a ticket. Anyone else?
