Long time, no see

Except not really, I just lurk the blogs a lot now. But I haven't posted a blog in like... 9 months? And I missed my fifth Threadversary like a month ago. Womp womp.

Anyway, hey, what's up? How are you? I miss you guys dearly and wish all of you were going to Chicago this year. :(

In the time I've been absent from the blogs I've come a couple semesters closer to finishing my undergrad degree (finishing this December!), I got a job, boyfriend, and I started a band. Here are my bandmates:

Modifying Gameboys to make music is a somewhat useless talent, but it turns out it's extremely rewarding. And you can listen to this song I just finished with them, it's probably the best thing I've ever made!

That is pretty much a recap of the past half year for me. Tell me about your past half-years and cool stories, bro!

Yeah, I'm stepping up my game soon, too! I think I'm going to swap out that mint color in the transparent one for an orange screen, and put a backlight in to make the buttons light up. Showmanship!

Haha, I'm glad you pointed out the tags! I think the main point of that song was channeling childhood. It was a pain to finish, but so fun to make.

P.S. I've been considering coming over to California for Winebocon or Combocon next year. We may finally meet after all! :P

The Daniel Johnston cover is coming along, Mike, but it's a lot harder than I thought it'd be since that song has no real structure and a Gameboy can just.... loop forever. ;____; It'll take some computer tricks to get it finished, but it'll get done eventually.
