So excite.
This festival is the bomb. They have a skating ramp and mechanical bull this year! Who does that!

There is no reason for this blog other than
I am so
fucking
excited.

Today, Les Savy Fav.
Tomorrow, MOTHERFUCKING DANZIG.

Also, I like how Nick Thune and Brian Posehn are randomly in there.

I don't know, Ryan. I have my doubts.
No I don't.

They have a bunch of comedy acts, Alvin!

Les Savy Fav are so good live. I'd advise not standing too near the front - he gets a little... intense.

I'm quite excited to see Les Savy Fav even though I'll be missing the Cool Kids and Shearwater. I tried looking at some of their live videos to see what you mean by intense, but couldn't find anything really good. I'll just have to take your word for it. :P

Ah, yeah, nevermind. I just saw some other names. The yellow stage is almost entirely comedians.

I last saw them at ATP a few years ago. He arrived on stage in a catsuit, drinking red wine from the bottle. He made everyone in the first few rows of the audience give him their cameras, which he then wore around his then naked body saying, "Remember it with your eyes". The festival was at a summer holiday camp and he finished the set by jumping into the crowd, walking through, out of the room and into the lobby, where he finished the last couple of songs whilst riding one of those coin-op dragon things for kids. Maybe intense is wrong, but he put me a bit on edge.

Holy shit, he threw a ladder into the crowd.
He crowdsurfed on a fucking ladder.

That lineup is amazing. I would see the following:

Alaska In Winter
Gorilla Biscuits
Atlas Sound
Shonen Knife
Les Savy Fav
The Jesus Lizard
This Will Destroy You
Times New Viking
Why?
Destroyer
Yeasayer
Face To Face

I checked out a number of those today. I went and saw:
Crystal Antlers
Times New Viking*
Shonen Knife*
Red Sparowes
No Age*
Neon Indian
Yeasayer
Les Savy Fav*
Destroyer*

Starred ones were favorites. Tomorrow I'm most excited about Atlas Sound, WHY?, and Gorilla Biscuits. Oh boy!

I'd kill a man to see Gorilla Biscuits. I thought they were dead.

Second day was fucking incredible. It started out pretty shitty because it was raining, and the rain refused to let up. I was soaked and freezing by 2 PM, BUT some guy randomly gave me a VIP pass, so I was able to go backstage and chill with artists and meet some people. All in all, a fucking amazing experience.

No Age opened for YYYs when I saw them.
They blew my ears out and I couldn't hear right for four days. They were awesome.

Hannibal Burress is going to be there. He's funny.

Shonen Knife was AWESOME, sonmi! Cutest band at FFF Fest that sang about barbeque, hands down.

I missed melt-banana for No Age, which was a downer, but No Age was very fun. My bruises have turned a nice green.

It already happened, Mike Numbers! :( I only caught a couple comedy acts, but Hannibal was not one of them, unfortunately.
