I must have turned stupid while I was sleeping
I do not understand this joke at all. There are tons of comments on the page saying how witty it is and how people who rate it poorly just don't get it. Please, anyone who happens upon this "blog" and understands the joke, PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME. Thanks.

it's a pantone colour swatch with no colours. maybe it means they love swatches. i don't honestly get the joke myself if there is one.

If you read the comments, the commenters talk a lot about designer injokes. Unless I'm hallucinating, I'm pretty sure there's the word "joke" in "injoke."

I have worked with a lot of graphic designers, they love these things. I've finished animatics for entire commecials while they're still flicking through Pantone Swatches and cutting pictures out of Wallpaper* to make mood boards. It worries me.

Upon becoming more acquainted with this site I have come to realise that many people who post here use words inappropriately. Witty now seems to mean "interesting" or "unusual" and in-joke seems to, in this context, mean "there is an artifact here that not everyone would recognise!"

So, if you drew a picture of rebar in the shape of an elephant it would become a witty construction in-joke, because average people don't use rebar and might not know what it is, and most people wouldn't think to juxtapose it with an elephant.

At least, that's all I can figure, based on what I've seen from comments.
