My wife and I are expecting towards the end of November and have begun the daunting process of shopping for baby gear. First and foremost, we're looking a car seats/strollers. We've done a good bit of searching and are leaning towards Graco's Quattro Tour Travel System but I wanted to see what parents in the field have had success with. Any anecdotes/advice are appreciated!

graco's pretty good for all the baby gear
interchangable gear is also good (ie, carseats that pop out as carriers etc etc)

OH, and get a guard for the car seat so it doesn't rip the upholstery (or use a towel)

upholstery guard. check.

my wife liked the graco in particular because they have the Snap 'n Go bare bones stroller whereas Chico doesn't offer an equivalent.

chico, you get what you don't pay for

although, be sure whoever does the babyshower knows you don't need a stroller

eeeeee so exciting

my wife and I really like the Chicco Stuff.

We have the stroller/car seat system and love it.

We bought 2 of the Bases that the carrier connects to so we have one in each of our cars. Made it very easy to just grab and go as well as if either of us needed to pick her up at Day Care we didn't need to worry about which car we had.

we also have this

And Love them. The changing table on the play yard came in very handy and still does at the moment.

We thought about the travel system from Graco but considering our little one will be born in late Nov/early Dec, we've made the decision that a travel system wouldn't work well. We're going to go with Snug Rider and a Snap 'n Go stroller (lightweight, barebones, etc.) and once spring rolls around, we'll get a Maclaren stroller. The pack and play and high chair are still TBD. I appreciate the info though Brandon!
