I've not been around much lately, so howdy. I'm trying to find a movie for a good friend who saw it once years ago and has been unable to locate it since. I'm calling on the collective minds of the blogs in an attempt to finally discover this mystery movie.
The details, as I know them: 1. Black and white, likely late 40s or early 50s. 2. Takes place on (or at the least filmed on) the French Riviera. 3. The language was either French or English. I can't ask my friend which it was again because I'm trying to surprise him when I eventually find it. 4. The story revolves around a husband who is unable to make love to his wife, and the wife then having an affair in an attempt to get pregnant, which she believes would make her husband happy. 5. There is a deposed king character who gives us the following line, in paraphrase/misquote: "He is a king among men as much as I am a fool among kings." It is not the 1930s flick known as Remous (aka Whirlpools, aka Eddies), despite the similarities. I know this a long shot but I'm pretty much running out of ideas and places to locate this film. He's positive he's seen this but I've not been able to find hide nor hair of this flick in months. ![]() My first design to stay in the running for the full week is soon coming to a close, and to celebrate I wanted to do one of these thingamabobs. Whoever gets closest wins a copy of the shirt if it gets printed. You can score/leave a comment as well if you so desire. And here is the blog with the alternate shirt color for those who are interested. Wahey! Last day, people. Hanza's gonna run away with this, it seems.
People were asking for the design on navy, so here it is:
![]() Here is the design placement on a navy hoodie: ![]() And here is a possible placement on a regular shirt: ![]() I've got to run for the time being, but I'll be back later to offer up any other possible color combos people might be interested in. about Decay
This baby is all mine. I told someone yesterday that I had a feeling Decay would reprint this week. Now all I need is the No More Bento reprint (on khaki this time!) and I'll be a happy little camper.
I'm not completely sure, but I think I just saw a black Fyasko shirt with this here guy on it. I'm going to try and refind the random whoever that was wearing it after class for a better look, because I may be off-base here. The Fyasko site doesn't list a shirt with this design or any particularly similar designs on it though.
Has anyone else seen this or am I crazy and whatnot?
This is mostly an excuse to show off mine (and see if it's been done already), as well as a chance for you all to talk about which ones are your favorites.
And I've no idea by whom. I doubt it was someone hereabouts since I don't spend much time on the blogs, but if it was I'd like to give a hearty thank you to that person. And maybe naked pictures, but probably just the thank you.

And I must admit it looks awfully swell upon my person. Also got an Extra Tasty sticker and a white-with-blue-hearts Threadless sticker sheet. Next time though, I'll try not to order the day after a sale ends...
I got rejected for the second time. Not a good sign. Methinks it's time to pause and try to improve my skills before subbing again.
I've got a design on pending, although I've gots a feeling it might be getting rejected. Can other people see someone else's pendings?
I'm going to go ahead and talk about my slogans again, including the one I just submitted: "Crazy like a fox. A crazy fox." Lemme know if you dig and I will hit you back most indubitably. I've been listening to some Beatles lately (could you tell?), and would like to know what your favorite Beatles song(s) are and why. And last but not least, I received as a gift my first Threadless shirt: I'd Hit It by Rawb. It is the awesome and I'm awful greatful to my benefactor as it were. |
I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
