Stop begging

Can we all just agree to stop spamming during critics?
Is anyone else tired of this crap?

I'm sick of people ending their comments with

"hey, check out my design!"
or
"please vote $5 so I can pay my bills!"

yeah, you know what, we all need to pay our bills, okay?
If we didn't, we'd be giving our shit away for free.

Also, if you have to beg and plead for a good score, you have probably failed already.

I agree that it' annoying. But it IS the only way to get people to critique, so I can't come down on it too badly.

It's bad when they don't really have anything constructive to say besides "GREAT. Critique mine!"

And it's especially bad when they do it in the submissions. Whores belong in the critique blogs, not out mingling with the voting public!

Really? I guess it's somewhat understandable to pimp your own stuff, but they could utilize the blogs as well.

I understand it in the critiques, which is why I'm really supportive of the ideas in Steven's blog. There really is no excuse for it in the voting area though.

Yeah, I hate that. If I see that I don't click the link because they have only commented to promote theirs. But I do click on the names of people that comment without begging and check out their designs.
