So what exactly does the, "I'd buy it!" button do when you're scoring designs? Does it mean you get an email alert when something that u checked that way gets printed??

actually, you will get an email alert in that case . . . also, the threadless staff factor the number of 'i'd buy it's into account when they decided what to print

i believe its just a measure for t-less of how much you really like something.
