I think the t-shirt's still original since the idea mostly focuses on the tree, it just has a similar perspective

I wouldn't stay they're all that much the same. Escher's looks a little more mind-bending with the perspective across the planet, sort of bending your view of things, like he always does. This one seems fairly simple in its perspective, more illustrating a Coruscant-like spreading uber-urbanization of the planet. Nicely done.
