Musical Instruments are fun!

: D Let us proceed to speak about the musical instruments we play and what we like to play with or on them. I like to play guitar and sing. I play jewel, sufjan stevens, iron and wine, and other acoustic-ish stuff. I'm trying to get into rock and all, but ... i like to pick stuff with my fingers. I also play trumpet in band, that's lame, and I started piano, which is sweet.

I play piano and drums and whatever music I feel like. A lot of jazz/blues on piano.

saxophone - tenor is favourite but mainly play alto.

bit of piano and singing thrown in there as well.

i play guitar and bass... never really had a style i stuck to. i mostly write my own stuff, i haven't tried to learn someone elses tunes in a long time. i'll write anything indie to heavier stuff like old man gloom / isis.

got some drums a while ago and i'm trying to get good at them. i'm OKAY.. i don't think i'm going to get any better

if anyone cares this is the last thing i recorded on my computer.

its more of a jam than a written song. i just made a drum beat on my computer and played randmly to it and layered a bunch of guitar stuff of on top of eachother. its more "ambient" i guess. a lot of you might find it boring. i might turn this into an actual song some day...

I don't want to hijack the blog of this poor underaged girl to detail my endless lus … love for you. :)

I think I made district once, never state. Though our jazz band played at GMEA in Savannah whenever the hell we wanted to. We ruled. We even went to IAJE in New York and got invited to play a tour in Scotland. My college jazz band actually did go play a tour of Germany and Austria. Good times.

i studied primarily on piano and upright bass, but was also trained on flute, violin, cello, and french horn. i also own a drum kit, trombone, banjo, mandolin, guitars, jaw harp, theremin, and recorder, and more which i pretend to play!!

I play drumset and the wonderful world of percussion insturments :-P

I enjoy trying to learn guitar, piano and bagpipes...but I'm not good enough at those to claim that I play them.

That's really cool that you explored so many other instruments! I'm recently learning Jack Johnson on my guitar... if any one is familiar with him. We used to have bagpipes around the house... they were fun to make scream ^_^

drumset...all the percussion instruments like marimba, vibes, etc....mainly tenor drums for this marching season. and some piano...used to play violin but quite cause i hated it...but any music is good to me now.

I played clarinet for several years. Big old clunky alto and bass clarinets are pretty awesome.

i play drums. my old band broke up but we were kinda big for a minute. we have a CD out on Columbia Records. toured with Our Lady Peace, 30 Seconds to Mars, Mudvayne and Pearl Jam. were also on the 2nd stage at Lollapalooza in 2003. listen to it here

my new band is more of a hobby now but we arent that bad. we have a show in Berkeley this friday if you wanna come.

I taught myself the gee-tar and have now played for close to 8 years. I like playing the blues and acoustic tunes I write myself. The first song I learned was 'Blackbird' by the Beatles. I can also play 'Duelin' Banjos' :P

i'm glad you think that I am 'awesome' on drums!!

but, to join into the conversation, I play drums, as lena has most generously stated

but, I've also had piano lesson until I was in 8th grade? ( i think...)

I write songs and play them weakly on the guitar w/ harmonica (with b-dylan and many others as a big influence)

lol HI SARA!!! haha. I actually think my little id... avatar thingy is really lame. I made it when I was 16... *smacks self in head* but I can't remember how to get rid of it.

On topic of blog, old blogs can come to life!! (hahah evil laugh haha!)

I have written a few more songs... and I actually really enjoy playing them. Joanna Newsom has been a very large influence of late.

All about me

Life just happens, a cyclic phenomena of emotions.
In other words, I am who I am and will remain to change.

I just read the sentences above and realized that I wrote that two years ago and its actually pretty interesting. (August 16, 08)

I am studying mathematics and engineering in college, I love the outdoors and animals, I enjoy yoga practices, painting, drawing, writing, singing, and playing guitar. My life revolves around art and a healthy lifestyle.
