It seems that not many people understand what Emptees.com is. So I thought I'd say a quick something... (I thought it was just another online tee design company until about a month ago, so I didn't bother with it).

But - in a nutshell, Emptees is promotional tool for designers and a community for tee lovers.

It is not a rival site and Threadless is keen for more Threadless users to get involved over there. Threadless suggests to designers that they promote their work on Emptees as it gets good exposure to a community of tee lovers and design addicts - similar to this community.

The 'Tee of the Day' accolade is usually awarded to the design that gets the most 'love it' clicks - but I am pretty sure the site administrators have the last say. You get no prize for this award, other than front page promotion on the site and the adoration of your peers. Laserbread's awesome Shredded A which was Tee of the Day..

So - basically, we should all embrace Emptees! It is a friend of Threadless and the Threadless designers! Yes.

If you love freedom, go and get an account and when you see a design that you like, go and give it some love! If you're a designer - get an account and post your designs on there and promote them - whether they are up for sale, up for voting or just need feedback. Impose yourself on the foum there and get involved.
