This Friday is Gallery 1988 LA's Crazy 4 Cult show, hosted by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier. The show let's artists interpret their favorite cult films!

It is gonna be a packed, wild event (apparently around a thousand people showed up last year or something).

Plus I have 3 pieces in the show! Woo!

Come check it out! There's gonna be a lot of amazing work, including a bunch from my fellow Otis classmates.

Check out the Paper Pushers show at Gallery 1988 (on Sutter at Polk). There's a ton of amazing artwork, all done on paper. Oh, and I have 3 pieces in the show!
The opening reception was on Friday, so I probably should've blogged about it before then, but the show will be up for a month so you can still see all the work (without the crowds!).

As for me, I'm particularly inspired by the cartoons I used to watch as a kid. Also, I'm getting more and more inspired in terms of visual style by the comics that I read these days.

people in the theater who talk throughout the entire movie and heckle the screen. They totally ruin the experience.

Also, they can go to hell.

I finally saw Cloverfield today, and I almost vomited a couple times. Maybe it was the shaky camera, or maybe it was the lack of explanation as to what the hell was going on, but yeah...this almost never happens when I watch movies.

Anyway, I was watching the special features, and noticed a little flash of white in the bottom right-hand corner...
