In doing research, I found that numerous organizations and causes use ribbons. Here's a partial list of awareness ribbon colors:
Red - Aids/HIV, substance abuse, MADD, DARE, love, heart disease, Pro-life Orange - hunger, leukemia, cultural diversity and racial tolerance, feral cats, Support of the Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip and North Samaria Green - organ donation, depression, Tourette's Syndrome, missing children, Save Dafur, Stem Cell Research, growth and rebuilding Navy Blue - child abude prevention, free speech, domestic violence, hurricane support, polive officers lost in the line of duty Purple - domestic violence, religious tolerance, animal abuse, cancer survivor, victims of 9/11, ADHA, alzheimers, the homeless Black - mourning, anti-gangs, POW-MIAs, Amish Support Gray - Diabetes, brain cancer, asthma and allergies Turquoise - Native American reparations Burgundy - hospice care, cesarian sections, headaches and migranes, meningitis, polio survivor Periwinkle - eating disorders, pulmonary hypertension, esophageal or stomach cancer Pink - Breast Cancer, Birth Parents, cleft palate Silver - children with physical or learning diasabilities, Parkinson's Disease, elderly abuse Gold - Childhood Cancer Light Baby Pink and Blue - Pregnancy and infant loss, Mael breast cancer Red, White, & Blue - Patriotism, 9/11 victims Blue and Yellow - Down Syndrome, designated drivers Purple with a red rose - Cystic Fibrosis Jigsaw Puzzle - Autism Prism - Mutiple Schlerosis Gold and Silver - all hearing or ear related disorders and diseases Blue and White - in memory of Columbine, teen cancer Rainbow - Gay pride or rights movement Red and Black - murder victims
