also, this is the best time to buy a ps3! there's been plenty of time for it to build up a decent library and a lot of the hotter games that defined the generation are pretty low in price.

I love the Xbox360 game for the PS3.

Pear that is kind of why I waited. Plus I was jonesing for a blue ray player so this made sense.

What kinds of games do you like? Sports? First-person shooters? RPGs? Adventure-type?

alright, here are 5 games that you should definitely consider.

1) Red Dead Redemption it's entirely fulfilling, all the way to the end.
2) Heavy Rain: the reason why I wish I had a ps3
3) Uncharted 2: Everyone who's played this always raves about it
4) Infamous is another ps3 exclusive, it's a great open world super hero game that's completely original in it's story
5) Batman: Arkham Asylum this is the full batman experience, you won't regret spending time with this, because it makes you feel like a bad ass detective/ninja/streetfighter

I am open to anything that will engage me. Only thing doesn't do anything for me is GTA. I wanna hear about what everyone loves so I can check em out.

I tried to avoid suggesting anything that's a sequel to an already established franchise because then you feel like you're obligated to play all the prequels in order to fill in the story.

I'm not a fan of most FPSes on the ps3 just because the joystick layout and triggers seem anti-fps.

I have a ps1 and ps2 so I don't think it should bother me. I git the move package because it was on sale. Interested to see how that works out

if you like going ape shit then you might wanna look into just cause 2 and burnout as well lol. I haven't tried the new need for speed, but apparently it's more like burnout.

I wouldn't get resistance btw. Well, the second one anyway. it felt very generic to me. You're probably better off playing cod, imo.

Everyone keeps mentioning little big planet. What's it all about?0

Basically it's a really inventive sideways scrolling platformer with a feature that lets you build your own levels and share them with the world. I had an idea to rebuild Jet Set Willy entirely in LBP, but then discovered Threadless ;)

Red dead redemption is an absolute must, i didn't think I'd like it as much as I did, but it's so well done that I'd say it's one of my top 10 games of all time, it's such a great experience.
