Great design but I agree, it needs something more, either colour or do something fancy with the lines (effects/colour)

This is merely a Star Wars inspired play on words of the common name of the Death's Head (Hawk)Moth, any one of the genus Acherontia, which have a slightly skull-shaped pattern on their thorax.

Hm... If I put the head anywhere else, the original joke would be lost, because it wouldn't be the death's head moth anymore... and I don't know how to make it bigger. The design will be bigger than it is on the screen and you seem to all be able to make it out... It's a tricky design indeed.

the only problem with kickin' it old style is you have to use the audience's sentimental side. Perhaps I didn't play that many pixel games back in way back when, but Threadless consumers either want high quality art or fan stuff. I like the general idea too but it's on very thin ice here. Go-Thing's idea wasn't bad. Showing a silhouette of a knight and a dragon on a couch in front of a big screen tv with the knight going "oh snap" or something similar also comes to mind. Good luck!

Hi, I think the tomatoes ought to go like everyone has been saying, or maybe replace them with pickles at least... I don't know anywhere where you can get tomatoes on hot dogs... but to the design concept itself, I wasn't sure at the beginning if the dog killed the cat, someone already suggested it should be awake. The dog does look scared off, but it took me awhile to pull the connections out of the image.
