The designer took it off of her site, now hopefully teeproject will follow suit.

Feel like this is happening more and more.

Seems like the longer I'm at it the more it happens. I wouldn't mind if it was similar, but a straight trace is freakin infuriating :)

I knew of this site a little while ago, and it seems legit, and the guy that runs it seems alright. I think the "designer" is at fault here, and hatemail shouldn't be sent towards the site as they might have been screwed over as well.

Hopefully they'll do the right thing and remove it, though.

I talked with the designer, and she claims that the guy asked her to trace it, which I'm not too sure, but she did remove it quickly after my phone call :)

so lame. makes me wonder how many people rip off artists and never even get caught.

I think the best way to avoid these things staying up is to make a bit of a stink, once removed, I wipe the slate clean.

Shit, is that's really the case then it's fucked up. But even if he did, why the fuck would she knowingly do it? Quick buck over integrity, I guess.

Also, someone who rips can easily lie about it, so I'm still on the fence.

Agreed, and I'm definitely not wanting to blame the company or designer, I just want them to cut it out, and stop profiting off of my artwork.

Sweet... Looks like they both removed the product!

Hi guys.
First up please excuse the bad Avatar.

I created Tee Project.

I want to get it on record that I did not ask for this design to be ripped. Why would I do that? I know how a designer would feel about it. I have 7 other designs on the site.. and have no doubt they have been purchased legit as I thought this one had.

I want to thank againstbound for some support given. It is true you should wait for all the facts to come out. Really way to listen to the person who actually ripped the design??

Again I am sorry to Joshua for all of this. I have said so on my site and on Mintees as Joshua has posted above. I hope this is the end of it. I know I will get some bad press over this and even though the site has acted in the right manner over removing it (almost immediately) we deserve the flack... need to ensure this never happens again!

Ozie,
Well said, and I'm glad to know the fault did not rest in you, as the designer herself said over the phone. I feel like you acted responsibly in the quick removal of the design, however, also feel it's necessary for us designers to be quick to attack this stuff when it happens so that it is hastily taken care of, and that no one makes monetary profit off of a stolen design. However, the issue is now in my assumption at rest.

Glad it got sorted out.
Tee project doesn't look that great anyway - no good designs on there.

Ugh. I don't know how designers can live with themselves after ripping something so blatantly! It might just be me, but I'd much rather spend my time on my own work, as opposed to copying someone elses...

it was an obvious rip and yeah it sucks (Teeproject is desperate to make sure this does not happen again, getting name pulled through the mud on here is a harsh consequence but justified).. better to just get better and do your own work. Totally agree.
