Transparency - Threadless T-shirts, Nude No More
I don't tend to like getting political on threadless with designs, but feel very moved by what appears to be the blatant suppression of the freedom of press by the United States. Hopefully many on here feel equally outraged, and would want to sport their outrage as a stylish shirt:

my 2 cents: As someone recently put it, WIkiLeaks is no longer a whistleblower. It is a secret stealer. The hundreds of thousands of cables being released may have been classified, but classified status does not equate to covering up misdeeds or wrongdoings. If everything said in private is made public, people will either be more secretive (which WIkiLeaks implies as 'bad') or more silent (which stifles communication).

I fear for the possibility (remote though it may be) that the hackers and informants of WikiLeaks (or similar-minded groups) turn from political to personal leaks. What if they obtain and publish sensitive information on someone's medical history? Credit card activity? Phone records? What if they decide that all confidential information (or confidential information of people they dislike) "deserves" to be made public? The hackers that crashed Visa's webservers in retaliation for Assange's arrest makes me wonder if we are on the verge of a new age of cyber-terrorism, cyber-extortion- blackmail or slander based on private data made public.

Oops, I don't want to start a discussion here (Isaboa already has a blog going).

In closing, good luck!

I wondered how long it would take to see a shirt design touching this topic. You have my support.

An ugly man, but a very timely yet- if you agree with the message- a timeless image and truthful for some.

A agree with lots of BioSam's points about the site and what could be repercussions of what it has become (it's kind of the Fight Club story from where civil and rightful rebellion takes a turn into terrorism), but at times Wikileaks has and will serve an important function at exposing some things the public should know about.

It also spurs a discussion about our current security in America, and the fact that no one has a grand total of how many government intelligence agencies are operating in the United States for certain. It's hard to keep track of all those secrets when no one has control of looking at the big picture. Burn After Reading becomes more and more brilliant for making this point the more times I watch it too, lol.

It pained me but was important to know that Obama willingly helped Republicans pressure Spain to drop their charges against bringing up Dick Cheney and other men from our country on international torture charges.

But to know all the back-stage catty bullshit that everyone is saying about other countries and their leaders, it's admittedly intriguing but it belongs on E! World Government News or something. And I think some things should stay secret as each country does have their own safety and security to worry about, you know, the REAL reason we supposedly have all these agencies.

So, good shirt is what I'm trying to say man. It's a nice transition from your puntastic mash-up faces you've been doing recently.

surprised this blog and design is still up. thought by now liebermann would have created enough pressure for threadless to cave in and deny support.
