if you like, ask yourself this question until you get a good answer.
who am i? when asked for advice, ramana marharshi recommended self-enquiry (who am i?) as the fastest path to moksha/Salvation (the release/liberation from samsara, the endless cycle of death and rebirth). sounds pretty good, huh? this was a good exercise for me: ask "who am i?" and when you get an answer that is from your mind, take note of the thought and move on. or, when the mind answers with anything, ask, "who hears this answer?" if there is an "i" to be found it is the "i" that believes in things. when you see things, you are dreaming. when you are dreaming, you see only yourself. enlightenment doesn't exist. if anything, enlightenment describes the degree to which you are at peace with and love the "self" and the "i" that believes in things. frankly, this is the best i can describe the process at this point. peace and love to your perfect hearts, kids :) i'd love to open a discussion to any interested parties.
