  • I'm from Brazil, and not an "european" looking guy, i'm brown and latino all the way.

    When i lived in the U.S. around 2001 / 2002 and worked in a petshop lot of people treat me like an uneducated fella, there was even a Lady that did not allow me to help her because "I was from the race that destroyed the twin towers" (???) never bothered me too much, I usually change people minds after a 2 minutes conversation.

    I think attitudes are way more harmfull than words, but words indeed have power, they are an Idea rather than just sounds.

    But the one using the word is the one responsable to give life to the power of that word.

    I think the "how you say it" is what transform a simple word in a terrible thing.

    It's too bad that over the internet we cant really hear the nuances of what is being said.
