  • Nice illustration, but could it be printed and still keep the detail?

  • I think most Canadians could figure it out after years of staring at bilingual food packaging

  • I don't see what people's phobia of text is about. Sometimes it is necessary for the design. This is one of those cases. Keep the text.

  • We have a store here in Canada called Bluenotes. They have a deal with Nintendo that allows them to use Nintendo characters on their shirts. They have had a lot of Nintendo shirts over the years, and I could have sworn I've seen one with the POW Block (without that slogan of course).

  • I don't think Threadless should throw out a potential winning shirt design because of a resubmit. This all of course is very subjective. One person's design might be excellent, but contain a small, fatal flaw. The fixing of which gives it a good chance of winning. Alternatively, someone with a poor design can make major changes and still end up with a poor design.

I don't think it's fair to give people zeros based on such trivialities. The person with the good design with minor changes is far more deserving of the decent score than the person with the poor design and major changes. But I agree that perhaps a month or 3 month wait time would encourage the designer to do it right the first time or take advantage of the critique section.
