House is pretty cool. They actually based him off of Sherlock Holmes. But maybe you already knew that, I don't know ;)
I think my favorite is Space Ghost.

Maybe Daniel Faraday, because I could probably learn stuff from him. Maybe Ben, cause I'd take notes and learn about the human condition.

From Wikipedia:

"Psycopaths... are overrepresented in the prison system, at the top ranks of corporations, in politics, law enforcement agencies, law firms, and the media."

I note, that all these are state institutions especially including the media.

Any psycopaths who work outside the state apparatus, and as constructive private citizens, are likey the future of humanity. I look to House and people like him, as sort of dragging humanity forward into adulthood, kicking and screaming.

dexter wouldn't be dexter if he didn't kill people.
also, if you don't like how he's portrayed in the tv show, you should read the books
hiro is alright, but he's kind of a pussy...

i can identify with Dexter's faking social behavior, but I'm not as good as him.

dude in the last episode of the season he was not a pussy! the way he ran at peter with the sword with no hesitation. i think he has the most courage and insight of anyone in the show. look at how peter is so easily confused and manipulated. hiro has values and he sticks to them.
Cactus Pirate Jr.
Cactus Pirate Jr. on Mar 29 '08 at 4:08pm
Peter kinda turned into a dick in the second season.

hiro was cool when he was developing his powers but since he fell in love he's been a big girl about everything...you think his dad dying would've made him angry but he's just like yep my dad died and i can use my powers really well, but i still can't fight for jack
peter was confused because his memory was erased, also he was being manipulated by someone who has been around for forever, so he knows how to manipulate people really well...how do you think the company started?
edean
edean on Mar 29 '08 at 4:23pm
once nathan showed up, peter realized he was wrong and he fixed it...

on a side note, whatever happened to the irish chick?

Apparently no one really has a favorite television character that hasn't existed prior to the last couple of years.

I'll throw these guys out and know that I'm still forgetting a handful of total favorites.

I always loved Juan Epstein from Welcome Back Kotter (sorry, Gabe Kaplan). A really funny character in the Neil Simon vein of comedy - manic, smart, great lines and always good for a throw away hybrid tribute of Chico and Harpo Marx.
I love Kramer from Seinfeld and for the same reason love Don Knotts as Deputy Barney Fife first.
Topanga from Boy Meets World for, probably, more devious reasons.
Zach Morris because I have a thing for schemers that could stop time to break the fifth wall.

Apparently no one really has a favorite television character that hasn't existed prior to the last couple of years.

I've seen a lot more character development in recent series as they move from episode based series to more cinematic season based series, so I tend to relate to the characters more. That's why I picked recently shows.

Peter Petrelli is nice, but mainly because Milo Ventimiglihtlja looks like Conor Oberst.

My favorite is a combination between House, Dexter, and Lieutenant Cane from CSI:Miami. Cane and his random one-liners that crack me up... and well House and Dexter remind me of you Spires.

LOVE!
