maybe lose the base line [above the text] and put spires design on 2 lines directly below the tower [with same width]
not too sure about a light tower as a design symbol, though...
i know it might sound corny at first, but have you thought of using a modern looking "spire"
looks messy to me. the window and other white bits could look like
print errors. the halo of light is way too fiddly (for me anyway). my advice: start again, make it as simple as you can then add details as you go. keep the helter skelter stripe though, it looks cool.
change it to just 'spires'
and make fewer points on the starburst, and make the inner radius smaller and the outer radius longer.
(just click with the star tool in illustrator onto the drawing area, the preferences will come up and you can change them there)
also, why the lighthouse? what is the significance? maybe sales pitch it to someone that you help find their ideas in the darkness or some crap.
maybe a light filament would be better. the lighthouse strikes me as a resort or something...maybe cause i lived on the east coast for most of my life...
