Im an all in one day kind of reader....I need to sit down and read a book all at once. I love Diary. I like it a little better than Fight Club.

Every review of this book has been surprisingly bad! I'm kinda in shock, considering how beloved by critics (well, the good ones at least) Palanuick is (misspelled, and i dont care). I don't read books anymore unfortunatly except for when a new Pali book comes out, cause they are quick reads (which means like a month or two for me) and always introduce me to a new world i never knew much about and/or a new style of writing a book. So this distresses me greatly. Are the critics just finally turning against him?
Ste7en
   Ste7en on May 19 '07 at 8:20pm
Critics have never really loved him...most have been cautiously optimistic, and usually criticize the way his books tend to spiral out of control or into new directions by the end. A lot of critics complain about his excessive style as well. In the end most reviews are half full, at the very least, but i've read few 5 star reviews of his work.

   FRICKINAWESOME on May 19 '07 at 8:23pm
I have to...the critics i respect their opinions of and have loved his stuff in the past i've noticed haven't been giving this book rave reviews....but that's cool, since i can think for myself and love a piece of media that is almost universally panned.

I can see how people might not want to proliferate this book, especially to impressionable teenagers, but the poor reviews shock me. I've never had a prettier picture painted with words, never.

This also coming from the guy who has a new favorite song of all time every 20 minutes...oh well.

It wasn't intended for people who think nads is a word.

In reality, he's stopped writing stuff I'd say is good for people in high school. Escapism isn't really geared toward those who have food and shelter provided for them.
