While i was walking back to my apartment, i found a wallet on the ground....It had over $180 in it...1 credit card and a driver licence. Naturally, my first response was to keep the wallet, but what comes around goes around, and i'd be pissed if i lost that much cash...so i return it to the my leasing office...ahhh, i was so tempted to take the cash and return jus the wallet =(

but i was wondering, what would people on threadless do?

come on now, tell me the truth :D

obviously, what are people going to say. if theres a credit card and/or liscense, and that much money, id return it.

but finding under 30 or so on the ground or in an unidentifiable wallet, id honestly keep it

Now that is some temptation.

Don't keep it. Don't keep the money.

your leasing office probably pocketed the cash after you split, FYI

yeah i return everything, and I'd think pretty lowly of anyone that did otherwise.

It's stealing no matter what way you look at it and usually stealing off some poor sap just like you that is probably panicing about their wallet.

Dude, return it all.

I have had a bunch of money in a wallet taken from someone before it was returned. It sucks.

If I found a wallet with an ID in it, I'd return it to its rightful owner. If it didn't have an ID, I'd have a hell of a dinner.

I always hope that people will do the same as me and turn the whole thing in.

My conscience would definatly make me feel like the scum of the earth. The angel on my shoulder always wins, hes better trained in martial arts.

I really would return it. At first it would be kind of tempting for a second, just to see that much cash in something that I found. But especially seeing the license and credit card in it, I would close it and return it. If it had no ID, just cash and a wallet, I probably would keep it because no one could claim it, well, maybe. I really would want people to do the same for me if my wallet was lost with my ID. Its a pain to get another ID. I would feel like i was stealing because I knew who the persons wallet was.

I'd return everything. Once my wallet was stole from me (in the employee locker room at work none the less!) and by the time the cops got it back, just about everything was gone. Gift cards, important receipts for purchases I had just made, drivers license, military id, credit cards... it took forever and a day to get all that junk replaced.

one time I found money that was not accompanied by a wallet, I kept the money...anyone would've claimed it, it was 50 bucks....just if you wanted to know. :D

but if I had found a wallet I definately would've gave the money and the wallet back, just cuz I know I'd be effin' pissed if I lost my money and my wallet.

180 dollars is less than a weeks worth and 6 months worth of dignity if not more. What you get from returning all the money is far more valueable.
