well its pretty literal, the idea is that, we need take what we know about the obstacles we’ve over come in our past and use then to over come the obstacles of our future.
I thought about it, but the question mark makes me assume that he is wondering what is on top of a possible refrigerator, which makes me think of ice, and thus my last comment.
It would be a nice conversation starter, as it could elicit numerous interpretations.
because it's a shirt, you need to get across your meaning instantly, people don't have time to sit there staring at it trying to figure it out. It's a lot like advertising
no, advertising has several hundred applications, now if youre referring to print advertising you should refer to magazines or billboards which both have widely different time spans to catch a viewers attention, this is a shirt, i wear shirts i like, not shirts i want other people to like that sell them shit.
pires i see your trying to get some feedback on your new idea, its fuckin great, you know why, cause i can tell you have some deep meaning behind why you chose to design it.
As for advertising I was referring to billboards mostly.
As for shirts you like... this site has a voter system and if you don't try to appeal to the masses you have no chance in hell of getting a shirt made. That being said, if you just want to show your creativity, that's cool, I agree it's a fun thing to do, just don't expect people to rate it very highly.
You are attempting to sell this shirt to others, which means that others should understand it. A major charm of t-shirts is wit, which implies brevity; this site in particular is fabulous because largely, art is married to wit creating both intriguing and aesthetically pleasing pieces.
This has the aesthetic appeal, but I fear the wit is lacking. It does have a cryptic sort of intrigue, but not impact.
ok so lets think, maybe the guy should have just beating up a little girl and now has to face her hug older brother... how can he throw the little girl at the big brothe rto defeat hime.
uh...I didnt read half of the comments, but when I look at it I say "hey he could put that small cube into the hole in the big cube...except...why would he do that? what does it accomplish? why is he near cubes, why doesnt he walk around them? are they ice? wouldnt ice melt on a hot red shirt?
The word progress makes me think of something political..
for example, I could see a shirt with the word "Progress?" and have it showing a black man still stuck in a low-level job, or a woman still dressed as a house-wife, something like that, but I don't really think of progress as a word that would be used to mean putting a block in a hole
what im asking is...why wouldnt he put his foot in the hole and step over it if he needs to climb it...the hole represents nothing that can be interpreted logically...filling the hole wouldnt visually accomplish any task that the viewer would notice- some holes arent even meant to be filled- so why would the viewer think it accomplished anything in a metaphorical way?
The design isnt poorly drawn, and the idea you have is good, but the design doesnt demonstrate the idea well enough in my oppinion
