Wii - no longer waiting, but playing!

so its ten o'clock.
The new nintendo comes out in two hours.
I have to work at 6 am, but have agreed (insanely) to drive my boyfriend to pick up said games console.
Ordinarily I would be close to bed by now (I need to get up at 4:30)

Someone tell me its worth it

can you play SNES on it?

i'd get it for tennis, baseball and pool games, maybe sword fighting, or pirate swashbuckling games

I've never played it but I've watched a few of my residents play it and not only does it look fun as hell (coming from a guy who hasn't bought a system since I bought N64), but it looked like they were having an extroardinarily good time.

wellI just dropped him off to line up with his mate (in his fucking Tron jacket - nerd) so I guess Ill know this time tomorrow as I wont get to play it til I get off at three tomorrow!

Yeah, I'm an RA... there are already plans in the works to put it on a projector and project it onto the side of our building (it makes it about 20ft. x 20ft.). We've already done it with Halo and classic Nintendo.

Sassmo, that's going to be so great. We did a similar thing with a projector screen and DDR pads that people went crazy for; I would have loved to host a Wii event!

The boys were such losers all the way there it was along the lines of 'should be take a pool cue in case we have to beat people over the head with it' (Dont ask why ones in my car.

And talking about how it would be like that scene in requiem for a dream with the big buy when everyone starts pulling out semi-automatics.

Apparently because of the order shortages, there were (to quote the boy) 'Pimply faced stock clerks roaming around yelling 'IF you have pre ordered, we are sorry to tell you your games with launch are no longer available, instead you will get xxx (whatever it was) but we have limited stock and there wont be enough to go around.'

Im kind of disappointed I didnt go

zeldas what we've got and wii sports (although it sounds early) and wii games or something, I forget what its called - some cheap one with the extra controller

i went to wallmart today because i heard that the had just gotten a shipment and the last one had ben sold about 15 minutes before i got there. and i had early dismissal from school! arg.

its not worth it, and he'll get tired of it in a few months, but in that time, you won't see him, nor get any sort of intimate, or emotional attention.

I just beat Zelda today, so does anyone have any suggestions of what I should try next? I'm thinking about hunting for some good GameCube titles.

Leon, from what I know they're trying to keep it free. It wont go live til March in Australia though so I guess that remains to be seen. Nintendo apparently feel people shouldnt have to pay for that stuff

Wheels03 - Eternal Darkness Sanitys requiem on Gamecube is AWESOME. One of the things it has is a sanity meter so when you're surrounded by monsters you start to go crazy so the room will be tilted, or upside down or you'll hear babies crying or the game will make you think its deleting your save files.

Its really cool :)
