Threadless on the Cover of Inc. Magazine!!! -- Now with Pics and Article!

The cover? Damn!

So, my work subscribes to Inc. magazine, or we get it for free -- I don't know which. The newest issue came in today, and I'm looking at the cover thinking, "I know these people. Where do I know them from?" Then it hits me -- Threadless!

It's pretty neat. Jake and Jeff are on the cover -- I guess they're important or something. The story is pretty long -- about 7 pages -- going over the history of Threadless and whatnot. Some of the things that stand out:

-- Inc. Magazine making a note that Jake and Jeff are both college dropouts.

-- Inc. Magazine describing Jake as "almost elfin."

-- That old people find it difficult to work at Threadless.

-- That the go-carts never get used.

Wow, Threadless has really grown since I joined a couple of years ago. Congratulations on the story and the cover (I can't believe you got the cover), and if you're looking to get rid of some go-carts, then let me know.

Yeah, I couldn't find the story on the website -- because I would have posted the link. I'll work on pictures.

Jake, have you not read the story -- your description is hilarious. "He's 5 feet 10 inches but seems smaller, with a frame that barely fills out the medium-size T-shirts he wears like some kind of uniform. His fine features, unkempt hair, and scraggly red beard make him look almost elfin."

Then again -- they do slurp your business model for 80% of the article -- so you gotta take the good with the bad.

I dont think that issue is out yet, it shows the latest issue as how to get rich in ression, thats the issues thats in stores so I'm fairly certain you got next months issue.

A while ago I was talking to the guys who wrote the wikipeida book and one of them said they wanted to do interviews with the bloggers sometime in april but nothing ever came of it, on the positive side when one of them does lectures he always talks about threadless, the reason its not in the book is because they went to print before they'd heard of it.

what's funny is that max, the author of the story, looks a lot more elf-like than i do! oh well, elves are pretty sweet really when you think about it.
