Are you travelling this summer?

I'm flying to Barcelona, Spain in less than a month with a friend of mine. From there we're planning to travel to Madrid, then to Lisbon, Portugal and then back to Spain. All in all, we've reserved about three weeks for this. Not everything is planned but I guess that's part of the fun. My friend even suggested a trip to Tangier, Morocco but I don't know if there's time for that.

Ok, first off - is there any Barcelonian Threadless users here that could suggest some cool spots in BC? Like awesome architecture and shops for apparel, art and design? This is my first time in the city. I'm going to spend about 5 days there.

Anyone else doing some trips?

I think I'm going to: New York, Chicago, and Atlanta before the end of the summer. Chicago for sure.

And me and 2 friends are TRYING to go to Hawaii on a military hop since they are free!! :)

I've heard Barcelona is beautiful, but boring.

I would have travelled but instead I moved to Vienna. Hopefully we'll be visiting Stockholm, Zagreb and Sardinia later in the year though.

barcelona is boring? I've heard that it's pretty spectacular and there's something going on all the time. well, I'll find out soon for myself. the main reasons I'm going there are that I've always wanted to go there and secondly one of my buddies is there on erasmus (student exchange), has been close to a year now.

I'd like to visit the us someday - maybe nyc?

Barcelona is beautifull. I did not think it was boring.
Go see the Parc gruell (guell?) by Gaudi.
I loved that.
I'll be travelling from Holland through to portugal this august. I wish it was then already.

i leave the UK for Edmonton in about 6 days time.
From there its NYC, then FLorida, then of to the Sunshine Coast in Australia!
Gonna be epic fun :)

Barcelona is awesome. So much to do and see, awesome architecture and an albino gorilla.

I might be heading to albania for a little while. We'll see how things pan out.

heading to Atlanta today and I have a couple of trips to Alaska planned and some general travel around the states.

I'd love to go to Barcelona. I really want to go to Europe in the next couple of years.

Of late my holidays arent holidays, first time round to canada I was studying and this time I'll be working and my next trip out there (with a bit of luck) I'll be working full time for a year.

arg that one of the main points why I try to travel now as much as possible - I fear that when I start working I'll have money but no time to use it...right now it's kind of the opposite

i don't have much vacation days yet, so my time off consists mainly of 4-day weekends

i was in missouri last weekend

next month it's tennessee, then in july san diego

then in november probably los angeles, but that's not really summer....

mikko, i thought i'd also mention, as a tangent, that you look a lot like some cousins of mine. i think they're almost entirely finnish, so i think it makes sense. they're girls though... but uhh, i guess like you could look like their brother??

I guess for americans travelling to different states is the as us europeans going to different countries inside europe. luckily, the flights are quite cheap here...for example, I'm going helsinki - barcelona and madrid - helsinki for 260 €.

My fellas brother lives in Barcelona & loves it. If youre heading down to Morocco, & havent already been, the Alhambra really lives up to all the hype & would be worth the detour if you like that sort of thing. I also really enjoyed Gibraltar.

Before I got a 'proper' job I went round the world, but it made me terrified of flying, so now I only want to go places close to home. I wanted to go to Holland, but because my car is over 10 years old, I can't get breakdown cover, so that'll have to wait until i fork out for a new car. So....I'm going to do lots of camping in the UK.

I am jealous of most all of you. SEETHING.

Next year, I am making my husband take me to Hawaii for 7 days where I will burn to a crisp and die. It'll be the best death ever.

Nothing outside of California... although it IS a big state so going to San Diego would be like someone else visiting a different state :-P

Yay Traveling!

The gf is bringing me on a cruise in a couple weeks. Her cousins are getting married in Jamaica. Never been on a cruise before, let alone a mostly free one, so I'm pretty geeked for that... except the flying part... I'm not a super huge fan of flying...

It also looks like my friend's folks are going to cover half my airfare out to LA to help move my friend into a new apt in July.

Also will have to go to Chicago several times to see the gf.

I'll also try to make it up north (Michigan) as many times as possible.

...and maybe one of the Chicago trips will also go to Madison...

sometimes japan, sometimes hawaii,
huston to japan is non-stop 13hrs.

i've dont it like 5-6 times, pretty horrible way to spend 2,000 bucks

I'm going to the UK for 10 days at the end of this month for a class I'm taking....partly tourist stuff in London and Salisbury but a good chunk of academia as well.

I've also got plans to visit Edmonton this summer....my sister is moving out there so we're going to visit / shop / see the Body Worlds exhibit.

And depending on circumstances....I may be making a random road trip with some friends to find a giant Paul Bunyan statue in Minnesota. Apparently there are several.

AND camping! but of course.

As part of college orientation, I'll be going for some sort of week-long wilderness backpacking trip (I think, might be whitewater rafting) in Oregon. I can't wait.

oh, and hopefully I'll be going to visit my older sister in NYC for four or five days at some point.

My dad's going wilderness canoeing in a remote lake in Canada for two weeks and I reaaaalllly wish I could go with him, but unfortunately I really need to get a job, too.
