Me and my favoritest person ever, ponkie, are going to San Francisco in a couple weeks. We are all booked with flights and hotel near the airport and cheap little rental car for possible day trips and we are very excited. We are also both West Coast/San Francisco virgins, per se, and have been soliciting our friends for for suggestions on what to visit in and around the area. We've gotten some great suggestions and I have a couple friends in the area to lean on for help, but we figure, the more ideas, the better. So what do you guys say? Who's been there? What shouldn't we miss?

San Francisco is pretty awesome. You can do all the touristy things such as visit Fisherman's Wharf, pier 39 (eat clam chowder in bread bowls), the Golden Gate Bridge, go shopping at Union Square, etc etc. Make sure to visit Haight St and check out the vintage stores and other cool stuff.
I'm going to San Francisco on the 17th/18th for a concert and shopping. (The Fray and Augustana at the Fillmore) YAY

Oh, at night you should definitely go to Twin Peaks, the view is amazing!
Preview. It looks much better in person. haha.
Also you could visit Alcatraz or Angel Island.. but Alcatraz is more interesting in my own opinion.
There's a lot of stuff to do in San Francisco.

I. Love. San Francisco.

Are you into plays? I HIGHLY recommend that you see The Miser in Berkley. It is amazing!!
And if you're a musical fan,
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is hysterical!!! My favorite musical, for sure. It sounds like something for kids, but trust me...it's not. Very not.

Basically just walk around and look at all the non-touristy stuff. It's fantastic.

we were warned to buy our ferry tickets far in advance, so we bought some the other day. We'll let you know how it is.

Make sure you go to Amoeba Records. It's supposed to be like the God of all record stores.
