• I've collected all the shirts that we are purging. I think that since I am in the Chicago area, finding a resale shop is not that likely. I might try teetrade, but I'd rather just post a big list somewhere and say "make an offer on anything you're interested in, the rest go to goodwill in a week."

• I don't think I got my bass until at least 10th grade... but it's sort of sad that I can't make a list like this.
  
  I can think of a couple of cover songs that my first band played:
  Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison & Blister in the Sun - Violent Femmes
  
  ... and I remember one day when I sat in my room and played along to three or four Dead Milkmen albums until I got the lines right. I think there were some good intros in there.
  
  Or maybe it's not sad. I just play the bass the way I want to play the bass, I guess... there weren't a lot of bass intros in the bands I've played in, but I wrote 99% of my basslines and I liked them. That's all that really matters, right?

• can the comet be a trail of sparkly glitter stuff? ... y'know. glued to the shirt, so a little bit comes off everytime you wash it... then it would be just like a shirt I had when I was 7 that said something like "I saw Haley's Comet"
