I wanted to get my sub in for the Parappa contest before it ended -- unfortunately this meant i didn't have enough time to explore all of the placement options.
The one option in the sub was be a bit confusing, and I wanted to make it clear that the two kids are united in their search, but are sitting in very very different places. So. . . hopefully this will help =).
Hi all. So I submitted something for the Parappa competition -- i wish i could have had more time to work on it, but i didn't come up with the idea until a couple days ago -- and today was the last day for submission.
Anyhoo -- here's the sub. ![]() The flash sub: So my question for you all is - - is it clear that they're in different places, but united in their search for each other? Or do they just look like they're sitting in the same room? One idea i thought about was splitting it up so that one guy was on the front of the shirt, and the other guy was on the back of the shirt. . . Any thoughts? -Lawrence
Wow, I just realized it's been over a year since I last submitted a design! I've really been focusing on my own traditional artwork lately, but when i saw the Gmail contest I had an idea, so figured I'd give it a shot.
Here's the sub -- you can click for a larger view -- ![]() Or click here for the flash submission: Comments welcome! Although I guess it's a moot point -- I've already submitted, so hopefully in a few days people will be leaving comments on it when it's live. Ah well. Figured I'd leave a note and let people know i'm back and still alive =) If you wanted to take a look at the kind of stuff I've been doing with my traditional artwork, you can take a look here: suckatlife.com Seeya - Lawrence ![]() i had a lot of comments on my submission about how pixelized the Chinese character is. So here is my submission with a revectorized character - - Ta da - I'm still working on the full zodiac design, but you'll all see it soon. http://www.lyyangdesign.com/threadless/dogYearSub2.swf |
