Wowie!

Today my entire day has been made heaps more brilliant and exciting, because I got a letter from the lomo newsletter and threadless, announcing the most beautiful union of online communities i could ever imagine!

Threadless + Lomography?
This could save the world, once and for all, I think.

I have had a longstanding obsession with lomos and holgas (which sounds similar to, be is not the same as homeless and logos), and now own a very dear little Holga, which I consider to be a magician of light.

We're all allowed to submit up to three designs, so I better get started!

The prizes for this competition are amazing-- a lomography dream kit!
I never win things like this, but please, if the gods of Lomography and threadless are listening, please look upon me in favor!

Well, good luck everyone, and I can't wait to see what beautiful shirts will be designed with this most inspiring subject!

Ten ten,
shaina

This is just one of the many, many times I wish I was cool enough to make a hip design for Threadless, because I really want that lomo kit of prizes Threadless is offering for the winner. :(

lol @ holgas.

bah humbug.

i'd love a holga... they just need to put a digital chip in there. i'm too lazy to develop and print pictures.

yeah, i love the holga, but the price to buy more film and develop and such is dear.. especially compared with digital photography. it's such a shame-- if i had a more stable financial situation and no student loans to pay off, then maybe i'd be able to afford to shoot more..

as of now i have a negatives that i cant afford to have printed, so i'm waiting to find a scanner that can scan them! silliness! the best i can do is try to take macro photos of them with my dying digital camera and invert them in photoshop. but it doesn't quite work..

oh well! i still VERY much want the kit in the hopes that i could find a scanner eventually, or maybe i can start a holga developing savings fund.. haha, if only! :)

oh, and to those of you who only read the bold, then that's okay too, because the bold words embody the delightful essence that is my feelings of lomography and threadless.

I like to believe that every day I dive into a big sea of all the events of my life. There is so much wonder and delight to be found in even the smallest of things!

I live in New Zealand, with a kiwi boy I'm in love with, and a small zoo of hand-made creatures and other botanical delights.
