Hey folks, how's things? What's news?

Forgive me if this is old news but I just had to share my latest obsession... I recently came across these absolutely awesome videos by a small collective called Blogotheque. In a nutshell, they film bands doing impromptu performances in random places... there are heaps... just check it out. Here's a bunch of my faves...

Local Natives | Who Knows Who Cares | A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Mumford & Sons - The Banjolin Song / Awake my soul - A Take Away Show #105 from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Fleet Foxes - A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Beirut - Sunday Smile | 'Cheap Magic Inside' edition from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Iron and Wine | Tree by the river | A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Sigur Ros - Við spilum endalaust - A Take Away Show from La Blogotheque on Vimeo.

Anybody know of any more similar vids? I can't get enough... haha...

That Sigur Rós session is possibly my favourite video from La Blogotheque ever. Chryde (the man responsible for aspects of, well, everything, I think) is also a fan of the "I Listen to Bands That Don't Even Exist Yet" shirt, haha.

Also, similar thing: the Black Cab Sessions

Blogotheque is great. I'm glad they're getting back to posting videos consistently.

If you're into live sessions, check out They Shoot Music Don't They, Laundromatinee, and sometimes Yourstru.ly.

Also, that video is probably what really got my mom into liking Sigur Rós. She liked the music a lot already, but getting sight of proto-yogi Jónsi doing his thing was sort of the clincher.

It's funny how you can see Noah and the Whale mature from their bright colored Blogotheque sessions to their more somber They Shoot Music... performance.

Ahh thanks for the other recommendations! So good. I'm obviously late to the party but damn, I'm all over it like white on rice... loving it!

Francodude - in the same vein, albeit different, as these lil shows is the Tiny Desk Concerts, you've probably heard of them but they're just as awesome.

lol, Jyotsana... learn something new every day, eh?

Maltzman! I'll definitely check these out later. I'm mad about discovering new tunes and such but I've clearly been so out of the loop with this stuff. Really appreciate the suggestions. Thanks!
