about Surfer's Paradise

Well this certainly took a long time coming!

Ironically the title of this design is a massive contradiction to the real life "Surfers Paradise" on the Gold Coast, Australia. This illustration spurred from a little day dream of what I wished the real Surfers Paradise was - kept pure, green and natural rather than the Aussie Miami concrete jungle it has become.

This one is for all the surfers, beach bums and nature lovers at heart.

haha, i agree with you about surfers paradise. it's pretty much just associated with Schoolies week and nothing else, sadly.

GAUGH. I love this. Especially since I'm from the Philippines, a tropical country with gorgeous dive and surf spots. I dread the day when they're all commercialized like our trashed Boracay.

My personal all-time fave is your Back to Nature shirt. Fell in love with that, but put off buying it. When I finally decided to get it, it was sold out! So I've been voting for a reprint! ;)

yeah, i've been to Surfer's in Australia...it's completely like Miami and the beach really isn't even very good. The waves are not great for surfing. I pretty much did a bar-hop night and that's about it. This shirt is totally what I think of as a real surfer's paradise, too! well done.
