I think everyone laughs weird.

Especially Brad Pitt. The guy is a great actor but he has the most weird and goofy laugh ever.

If you're interested enough in the debate to need to discuss it in realtime on threadless, chances are you're going to think your candidate of choice was the best tonight. I'm sure the kos kiddies are ecstatic with Barack No-Middle-Name Obama, and the Freepers are doing backflips of John McCain.

watched enough and was getting highlights anyways...besides I'm not what you would call an "undecided" voter anyways.

alright well steak is on the BBQ so got to go.

gtoast99 on Sep 26 '08 at 9:55pm
Oh, there's a veeery left-wing blog called the Daily Kos. And yet you know what a freeper is? Interesting.

In other news, wow that was fast:

i don't know what a freeper is either :(

Ugh I hate all political ads. It's sad how dumb ignorant people are actually persuaded by such propoganda.
gtoast99
gtoast99 on Sep 26 '08 at 10:03pm
There's a very right-wing forum called Free Republic, and the members are called Freepers.

I think that Obama whomped McCain on the economics part of the debate. McCain showed a lot of strength on the foreign policy stuff, but Obama held his own. He certainly did pwn with his comments on how McCain's own advisors (particularly Kissinger) support talks with Iran. It's quite obvious that the Bush administration's policy of "freezing out" their opponents wasn't working... they've even been coming around on that themselves. McCain definitely has the experience but he seems out of touch with what is going on here and now.

But not face to face presidential negotiations, as Barack as said he advocates (before backing away from that position tonight).

He didn't say that. He said that he would find the right people to talk to.

I think that most pundits will consider it a draw, which, like it or not, ends up as a win for McCain, kids.

i turned it off after about 20min because i had enough of mccain's stupid little smirk. i'm already a decided voter anyway, so it doesn't really matter.
gtoast99
gtoast99 on Sep 26 '08 at 10:09pm
He didn't say that. He said that he would find the right people to talk to.

Not true.

Diplomacy: Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.

I think the the economy stuff is a win for Obama and the foreign policy stuff was a draw. Which adds up to a win for Obama.

The quote that you're pulling doesn't necessarily refute the point at hand. "Presidential" in that sense could just be referring to Obama himself.

i didn't check to see if there's a blog about it yet, but did any of you see this? apparently mccain won the debate before it even started.

"Presidential" in that sense could just be referring to Obama himself.

umm.. yea. As in President Obama being willing to sit down with Achmadinnerjacket face to face without preconditions. Something Kissinger never advocated to my knowledge. So Obama was still wrong.

Did I miss something?
DaddyDom
DaddyDom on Sep 26 '08 at 10:15pm
admittedly, I missed the first bit of the debate and some of it was...well..."interrupted" by chattering monkeys in my back seat, but, from what I heard, I didn't hear a win for Obama on the economy. I'll listen to it all again after the monkeys go to sleep.
