Speaking as a library assistant, I think ripping the stickers out is a terrible thing to do. Just go buy the book. We always put notes in records of what books come with so that we know to check when books are returned.

don't do it. you could screw up the binding for the entire book if you try and take the page out.

speaking as a former library assistant, they do indeed keep notes in the item records for special things like that. they may make you buy the book + processing charges...and then you would be denying someone else the pleasure of that book while the library orders & in-processes the new, undamaged one. better to buy it yourself, or do the sticker paper thing.

It's a PostSecret book and it has stickers of words "My secret" in different styles

I would leave them, but if you are going to tear them out, why not do it with a razor blade so it's all neat and unnoticeable?

oh i have that book. i took one ticker off and it didn't really have any sticking power.

you'd be better off doing what someone said above and printing them out. i stuck it on my computer and it didn't even make it a week.

I use to work in a library and they use to remove those pages for this very reason.

Years ago when my sister was younger I took her to the library and she got a book that came with a kids song CD. She took the CD out, and it was lost. I returned the book, and they didn't say anything to me. A year or two later we found the CD, in great condition and I took it back and THEN they tried to fine me.

Same thing happened with a book I found in my cousin's room after he moved out. It was overdue by almost 10 years and when I took it back they yelled at me about paying the fine and yadda yadda yadda.
