New iMacs

One thing I hate about Apple is their very sudden and inconsistent release patterns on new products. So I come home from school and open firefox to yahoo.com. There in bold letters reads: "Apple unveils new aluminum iMac." I was like "WTF".

I just got my hard-to-keep-clean white iMac a few months ago and now they bust out with a sexier, sleeker, metal iMac. I'm salty.

Curse you Apple. Yet I love you so. The suspense keeps me alive.

I wonder if i can get the 20" for under a thousand, with an education discount. it's $1199 normally.

oh freaking neat...if i was going to San Diego State I'd get a whopping $50 discount on the twenty incher $1149

oh to be a student again... with all the wonderful discounts... those were the days....

oh wait... that was only 3 months ago....

seriously though... although apple's discount's aren't that great... you can get the Adobe Creative Suite for like $400 with a student discount.

i heard they did away with the student apple discounts. well for most products anyway. not sure about software products.

I could've gotten $300 off the old $1499 iMac... so I guess it varies

I thought it was closer to $100 off for the new imac + the promotional free ipod nano (or a $200 deduction from whatever ipod you end up buying). The student apple discounts are still in place.

oh wait, nevermind. they got rid of the student discounts for ipods at my university.
