hi everybody! :) it's me, your friendly apartment complex phil. like everybody else, i'm uber excited about the new Loves Travel 2 contest and i've been working hard on a design. i think i'm almost done with it, but i need YOUR HELP!



my design is about saying "Hello" in different languages or ways. for my presentation, i thought, "hey! threadless is a huge cultural melting pot, why not see if bloggers would like to model for me and i'll include it in a slideshow of some sort?"

so, here's where you guys come in. take a big enough (640x800 px) photo of yourself waving and wearing a plain white tee. try to get as much as your body in the photo and try to keep the front of the tee clear so i can place the design. be silly, goofy, whatever you like while waving. when you're ready, just email one photo to phil@minicubby.com and include how YOU say "hello" and i'll try to put it in my presentation. deadline is NOV. 20. oh yah, don't forget to include your threadless name and where you're from!

i'll try my best to include all photos, but if they're too small or too hard to work with, then i'll have to pass on them. sorry :(

AND... as an incentive, i'll give $25 GCs to 2 random people who send me photos.

I'm sitting at O'Hare waiting to board my plane home and reading all the Chicago blogs. 

I had a nice time. it was great to see old friends and meet new ones. 

Paul and I were saying how the meetups are like high school where every year there are new incoming freshmen and some of us are like juniors and seniors showing the new freshmen around. and next year, this year's freshmen will be able to show the next group of freshmen around Chicago. and the cycle continues.  good job Class of 2009!

jeff, we'll always have the memory of the old dozing man on the bus who smacked his head against the window and you couldn't help holding back your laughter.

nigil! I'm so happy you came and good luck with moving to France.

maltzydan, I'm sad that you thought I would be taller. I'm glad you got someone to feed your dog so that you'd be able to come. I'm also sad you couldn't hang out with us more. guess you had to feed your friends?

I have to board my plane back to SD now, so I'll continue this later. feel free to add your fond memories here while I'm flying. 

alex said he'd kill me if i didn't participate in his little remake contest. so, here's my remake of his Ursus Maritimus design. and i want to thank dustin for being so brave for wearing those shorts :D

alex was bothering me today -- throwing out design ideas for his next sub -- and he wanted to do something with a rainbow. so while i was eating lunch, i came up with this doodle. simple idea. simple design. pfftttt!



i'm calling it "A Rainbow Is When Clouds Shake Hands".

so i've come out of hiatus and subbed a design. it's a really simple and dumb design, so pfttt! hope some of you like it. it's ok if you don't.







btw, i'm eating a hot pocket and i burned the roof of my mouth.

it's not a secret that i enjoy eating. A LOT. give me anything edible -- a burger, pizza, burrito, pasta, cake and i'll eat it. i'm also guilty of contributing a lot to the hated Food With Faces (FWF) genre. but i just can't help it :P i love food. i love happy smiley food. so i couldn't help myself with personifying my favoritest food of all -- burger and fries in my latest sub. oh, and jublin also kinda inspired the concept with his recent marathon.
