the apple confused me until i figured out it was an apple but the design is all kinds of awesome.

Great design, i think a stalk on the apple would help secure that, as other people have said.

One other niggly thing, is the snakes mouth looks a bit duck-billed, if you get what i mean. Needs to be a bit shorter, and no curve inwards, i think.

i probably wouldnt buy much of hues work, its just not my kinda thing. But I can appreciate the skill involved and its alot more intelligent than most designs that come through here.
