new submission rule?!?!

I recently submitted a design with American Apparel models and Threadless rejected it asking, "do you have the rights to the image? Just remove the face". Is this a new rule?

Since shirts are printed on American Apparel, it would be more suitable to use AA models to more correctly represent the final product. Perhaps Threadless can contact AA and obtain permission.

Yep, it's true. Teaming up with AA is not going to happen for a number of reasons.

...ughhhh... no wonder ross posted all those threadless model pics. And here we thought he was just being generous! Haha.

I too will be receiving a "Your @$$ has been denied" letter soon. Should we just go ahead and resubmit with a threadless model today?? Even if we haven't gotten the letter yet?

Maybe they should make this more clear in the submission guidelines. Right now, all it says is to not use copyrighted material, but I think most people would think that refers to the actual design and not the model. Especially since people used to use the AA models. Perhaps they should put something a little more specific.

Shirt printing is not a big problem for me, the main problem is "Marketing". I'm really weak in this.
