pretty sensational headlines but altogether factual. TCU was stung by a drug operation which highlighted a couple football players on their very successful football team being targetted and arrested for possession and dealing drugs. it was pot. they told the undercover cop where he could score some pills and other stuff. during a conversation between the cop and player, player said "almost 60 guys on our team would test positive" (if they had to do a drug test, which they did) the first thing that runs through my head is, 'really'? the cops are targetting university's to stop the drug trade? yeah, bc i remember that scene in Scarface when tony enrolls at the university of Miami to expand his cartel. this is fucked up. my take is that the local law enforcement has been dealing with an unwinnable drug war vs the mexican cartels so in order to save some type of face they pinched some poor college kids who are pushing a few grams of kind bud. re. dick. u. less. "The entire cosmos is a cooperative. The sun, the moon, and the stars live together as a cooperative. The same is true for humans and animals, trees, and the Earth. When we realize that the world is a mutual, interdependent, cooperative enterprise -- then we can build a noble environment. If our lives are not based on this truth, then we shall perish." --Buddhadasa Bhikkhu
"All authority of any kind, especially in the field of thought and understanding, is the most destructive, evil thing. Leaders destroy the followers and followers destroy the leaders. You have to be your own teacher and your own disciple. You have to question everything that man has accepted as valuable, as necessary. ...truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or coerce people along a particular path 'there is no religion greater than knowledge.' ![]()

It's not that surprising, really.
